Growing up, Dr. Martinez had an interest in science. He ultimately decided to pursue this passion at the University of Texas at Austin, which is where he studied Cell and Molecular Biology. During his studies, he was presented an opportunity to shadow a local dentist and, once he saw the unique blend of artistry, science, and service, he knew he found his career; he wanted to be a dentist.
In addition to obtaining his dental degree at Baylor College of Dentistry, Dr. Martinez was a member of the Hispanic Student Dental Association, he participated in the summer research program, and he underwent additional training on nitrous oxide and Level 1 Sedation. To this day, he prioritizes continuing education and advanced training to keep his skills sharp in sleep medicine, cosmetic dentistry, and several other specialties.
Dr. Martinez’s extensive education, training, and experience are certainly impressive. However, what really sets him apart from the rest is his passion for helping patients in and around Uptown achieve a healthy, beautiful, and one-of-a-kind smile.
